On Saturday, August 28th, Bishop Jesse Edwards addressed our monthly prayer breakfast in Dayton, hosted by the Summit Christian Church and elder senior minister, Crystal Moore, with 28 in attendance. He reminded us how for the past 2000 years there has been much focus on the individual, but now God needs restoration of families. Our keynote speaker, Rev. Elijah Burrell, is chaplain of the Fairfax Place nursing home where we gathered on August 21st. His message, “Shake the Tree,” gave everyone the understanding of the difficult situation of our times and what our God-centered attitude should be in order to bring good fruit. Especially he spoke of the beauty of family and the value of husband and wife relationships. It was a lively message and appropriate for old and young....

The Rev. Dr. Michael Jenkins gave a powerful yet humorous account of the Keynote speaker, (ACLC Co-President) Archbishop George A. Stallings’ history, as a priest and senior pastor. He said that the Catholic Church just couldn’t hold down his buoyant spirit. Love , joy and peace were abundantly shared as the Holy Spirit took over the prayer breakfast Saturday , June 19 in Omaha , NE. After a lovely breakfast of crepes and fresh fruit prepared by our Muslim brother Ahmed, the WAIT team electrified and sanctified the place with a very talented and spirited skit and song selection about the AIDS epidemic and the solution of abstinence. Pastors were deeply moved when Elder James Paige, a strong friend of ACLC for 10 years, hosted our prayer breakfast on May 22nd, at the Evangelical Reform Baptist Church, in Newark, New Jersey, with 40 clergy attending. The keynote speaker was Rev. Leonard L. Smalls, pastor of Imani Baptist Church of Christ, in East Orange, New Jersey. His sermon was “Use What You Got!” based on Exodus 4:2. Rev. Donald Ward of the Daystar Baptist Church hosted the prayer breakfast, which focused on how God calls us to grow to spiritual maturity in order to fulfill His Blessing to us. Clergy and lay leaders from the Seattle area studied the Bible and also the True Family Values presentation to look more deeply into the meaning of fulfilling the first blessing, “To be fruitful,” given by God to Adam and Eve in Genesis. ...

Bishop Ernest Hamilton gave the message, "A New and Better Way - Connecting With Each Other Through a New Covenant" from Hebrews 8:6-10, for the Dallas area prayer breakfast on May 15th.
