Dear Pastors and Faith Leaders,

The American Clergy Leadership Conference is making a clear stand to support and uplift faithful marriages between a man and a woman by strengthening the role of pastors and their churches to bless the family. While reading the scripture in our ACLC Pastor's Forums we were encouraged by I Kings 19:10-18. Though Elijah felt the battle was lost, God spoke to him in a still small voice saying "I have reserved me 7000 that will not bow..." As pastors we came together and prayed and the "Elijah Generation Partnership" was birthed. Like Elijah we hear the voice of God saying that God has prepared 7000 righteous who will stand for marriage and family. Though the ways of the "world" seem strong, it's the response of God's anointed and faithful that determine the destiny of His people and the nation. We are encouraged by II Chronicles 7:14 which says "If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves, pray, seek my face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from Heaven, forgive their sin, and heal the land."
