Founded on May 22, 2000 in Korea, the American Clergy Leadership Conference was established when 120 clergy gathered to affirm the God-given vision of Rev. Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr. Hak Ja Han Moon for the unification of the Body of Christ in answer to Christ's prayer recorded in John 17:21: "that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me."
